Short films, company description and webinars were hosted on the company’s website or on various social networking sites, directed towards the business website. Typically, these were mainly used for the purpose of getting hits for the site.
Soon, smart marketers understood the power of online streaming and used different media like social media, third-party sites, e-magazine portals and more for hosting their videos. These films got more informative and less promotional in nature to keep the customer interested.
While informative videos were an essential shift, it was also important to make them entertaining. From animation to music and even elaborate storylines, these videos are now treated at par with television advertising.
Currently, online corporate videos form an essential part of marketing on the World Wide Web and hold a key place in SEO and other Internet marketing strategies.
