Air Source Heat Pumps - Energy Efficient Alternative Of Heaters And Air-conditioners
In most of the places in world, climates does not remain same throughout the year and it varies time to time thereby requiring moderate heating and cooling. The extremely cold or warm season in not tolerable and thus, people need to maintain a moderate temperature for the comfortable atmosphere. In order to meet such requirements the sale of air conditioners, heaters and blowers became common for people to maintain a moderate temperature inside their home or offices. Although these electrical appliances are quite capable of maintaining the temperature in both summers and heaters but these products excessively shoot up the electricity bill. Thus, to provide energy efficient heating and cooling requirements to people, several electrical products manufacturers has come out with air source heat pumps, which has been specially designed to maintain a moderate temperature.
Air source heat pumps have emerged as an energy efficient heating and cooling system, which uses outside air as heat source. This air source heat pumps utilizes refrigerant system having a compressor and a condenser for absorbing heat at one place and releasing ...
... it at another place. It can also be used as a space heater and is also referred as reverse-cycle air conditioners. In winter air source heat pumps absorbs heat from outside and releases it inside whereas in summer it absorbs the heat from inside and releases it outside, thereby offering complete heating and cooling solution for the domestic uses. This system is highly energy efficient due to the fact that it moves heat rather than converting it from a fuel just like the combustion heating systems.
Air source heat pumps are extremely durable and require very low maintenance.
Air source heat pumps offer low cost space heating, as highly efficient air source heat pump can provide up to four times as much heat as produce by electric heater consuming the same amount of electricity. The biggest advantage of air source heat pump is that the same system can be used for cooling in summer as well as heating in winter. Air source heat pumps are usually paired with emergency heat systems to provide backup heat, when the outside temperature are quite low and the pump are not able to work efficiently or in the case when pump malfunctions. Made with highly advance technology, air source heat pumps take heat from the outside air and pump it inside through refrigerant filled coils. This system comprises of two fans, refrigerator coils, reversing valve and a compressor that enable it to work efficiently in both cold and warm weathers.
