Learn Everything About Laser Hair Removal
None of us desire for body hair, still it is there and can appear anywhere. Most of the body parts covered with these hairs are upper lip, chin, cheeks, back, legs, fingers, feet or toes. It is common to have these hairs; however, certain other factors like genetics, medications, hormones, or some abnormalities can also lead to this problem.
The majority of us want to get rid of this problem either by plucking hair or by waxing. Both these methods are highly painful ones. The cosmetic world claims a number of hair removing strategies but none of them is permanent.
However, to your rescue, a new method has been evolved which is popularly known as laser hair removal. It mainly uses a high intensity light beam which destroys the hair at its roots. Different people experience different success level in this, but it is generally a permanent solution to unwanted hairs.
Individuals with light skin and dark hair are the most suitable persons for this treatment as in them; it is easiest to remove hair. Though, there is a little discomfort and slight redness and ...
... pain. You can use an ice pack for the same.
In what areas does this technique work?
Every area, be it legs, underarms, bikini line or upper lips, can be treated. It depends on your threshold of discomfort that you get everything in one go or want to visit again for each area. Normally, the process takes three treatments, once in every 4-6 weeks. This time gap is required to ensure the removal of hair in all growth stages including: growth yet to take place, surface growth, and visible growth. If you give frequent visits, it will not be successful as you can miss some of the hair.
One session of Laser hair removal is a short process. The machine just zaps the skin surface once or twice. It takes around 10 minutes for underarms, even less in bikini line but longest in the legs.
Some Precautions:
The exposure of sun makes your skin sensitive. Therefore, keep yourself away from the sun for at least two weeks before getting treatment.
It is better if you go with the shaven skin. This is because longer hair makes your skin susceptible to burning.
Different clinics use different machine during laser hair removal. It would be good if you inspect and inquire about the machine before the treatment.
If you are willing to take laser hair removal for a special event or occasion, you must plan it months before hand so that you can attend the complete treatment.
After treatment, you must avoid skin care products like deodorants and moisturizers as skin is in high sensitive stage at that time. Showers, baths and swimming should also be avoided for at least 24 hours.
Apply sunscreen or ice after treatment especially the facial part. This will protect the sensitized skin.
Laser hair removal is a wonderful process for the skin treatment. It is also used for wrinkles and pimples as Photofacial. Tattoo removal is another benefit of this treatment process.
