During the meeting, we reviewed the items listed in our Basic SEO package and the One Time Set-up Fee portion of our estimate. We discussed the general services offered for these bullets, but also reviewed what specifics Rainmaker Advertising would like to see. We agreed to a December 1 start date. Robert is providing us with a custom SEO estimate (monthly & setup fee) because you’ll be writing the monthly article, and we already have Facebook/LinkedIn/Yelp/Twitter accounts set up. Robert suggested Rainmaker adding an “article archive” section to the site.

SEO Set-Up:

Research of the best keywords for your industry
Robert said that most clients provide that information to them. Rainmaker could also suggest a customer survey to retrieve this information from future clients. Robert is going to review Rainmaker’s recent survey results to obtain our keywords. Our basic keywords are also listed in our services at the bottom of every page on our current site.

Creation of 3 landing pages

... These are basic pages that contain teaser information about one specific service and then forward the visitor to the main site. If your site is already rich in content, you may not need these landing pages. Rainmaker wants to emphasize three product offerings with landing pages based on the survey results: magazine ad design, video and search engine optimization.

Creation of a Twitter Account
Rainmaker currently has one. Robert said they often use abbreviated information from their monthly article or blog to post a Tweet. Robert will do this as part of our SEO agreement.

Creation of or updating Facebook Page
Robert will add post as part of our SEO agreement.

Creation of and branding your Blog
Robert will examine Rainmaker’s current blog to make sure it’s functioning in the best proper manner. Rainmaker explained how our administration area allows us to “park” each blog on a variety of our service pages.

Review & optimization of your Website

Basic Package:

Robert will register with approximately 125 different social/directory profiles
These directories include Yelp, Yahoo Business Directory, Google and many more. Each website is listed on a business directory. Because someone has to manually enter the listing, the approval process can sometimes take months.

Robert has a company that will create a fresh article for this each month for the majority of our clients. Some general notes about these articles: They should be approximately 200-400 words in length because people don’t want to read articles much longer. The article should not be heavily seeded with key words or appear to be a blatant advertisement for services but should include general informative text. Each article is reviewed by Google, and they will flag it and decline approval if it seems to be flagrant self-promotion. “Borrowing” copy from other sources won’t work because Google can recognize if it’s pre-existing and you can be in danger of copyright infringement and even have your site removed. General note: Articles have two different goals. Short, concise articles drive traffic to your site. Articles that contain more unique information about your company, product or service tend to help people make the decision to actually commit to your service.

Tweet & Facebook Updates
Robert will use fragments from article and/or take suggestions from clients to maintain posts on both Twitter and Facebook. Twitter limits article length to 140 characters.
