New Year's Eve In London
As the world got together to welcome 2013; as expected, new years eve London was the place to be. If you were in the city and spent your new year in a DJ club or a bar having cocktails with friends and family, you know that you had one of the best New Year’s Eve parties of the year. London has always been among the top five party destinations in the world; and what better way to party than to usher in the New Year.
However, if you did miss out on the scope to party this year, do not worry – there is always a next time. And who says that the New Year craze is over? You can still party. But if you are among those hesitant types, here is a list of reasons that should convince you.
1) It doubles up as a holiday excuse to visit friends and family. Most of us have families working away from home and with different work schedules. This gives you the time to catch up with everyone in the family at the same time. Also, meeting old friends and talking about good old times is a great way to start a new year.
2) Drinks ...
... and dinner charges are comparatively less. Most cocktail bar London offer huge discounts during the Christmas and New Year season – meaning that you will be able to get extra for relatively less money.
3) If you live in a really cold area, there is no better way to beat the weather than partying all night. While the DJ plays cool numbers, you could keep foot tapping all night and not worry about spending the cold night all alone when the whole world is celebrating.
4) It is a great opportunity for singles to get to know each other. Since it is the New Year’s Eve, you do not really need any other conversation starter and usually a casual hello is enough. Though here you may have to proceed with precaution because you are talking to a complete stranger; many people actually find their life partners during such crazy moments. If not, you will definitely earn a good friend.
5) And most importantly, where is the fun in toasting New Year in the living room if you did not get to go out wearing those sparkling new shoes and that dress that you bought after planning for weeks?
Nobody likes to spend time alone, especially when the occasion is something like New Year’s Eve – the reason to meet people and celebrate. Partying your way into a new year with your fabulous new dress as you sip on some champagne with friends and family and keep the biting winter cold out – sounds so idyllic and yet it indeed is one of the best ways to welcome a new beginning.
