Bangalore, once called as pensioner’s paradise and now also called as garden city, but unfortunately, now the scenario is that, Bangalore, today is a large cosmopolitan city and with its diminishing greenery with a large working population. Tirupati is situated at a distance of about 248 Km from Bangalore. Driving on the NH 4, NH 69 and SH 35, one has to pass through Krishnarajapura and Chitttur before reaching Tirupati. The average time taken for a road trip is around 4 hours and 10 minutes.

When it comes to selecting the best mode of transport, one will be spoilt with choices as transportation modes include road, rails and air.

Choosing rail as a mode of transport, there are quite a lot train connection to travel from Bangalore to Tirupati. It takes four hours only for the journey. The total fare normally is around Rs 80 to Rs. 187 according to the seat selected. Yeshwanthpur express departs from Bangalore at 8:30 am and stops at Tirupati at 2:30 pm noon.

Choosing road as a mode of transport is another good option. There are many connecting buses from Bangalore to Tirupati. Online booking and editing can be done. Its fare is around Rs. 400 and above, according to the seats booked.

If one doesn’t fancy travelling by bus, a private taxi would be another option which can easily cost Rs.4000 and upwards. This maybe a good option, when one is travelling with family, senior citizens and children.
