Chennai formerly known as Madras lies on the east coast of India and is the capital of the State of Tamil Nadu. 'Kamaraj' Terminal of Chennai airport handles domestic flights. Kolkata’s Netaji Subash Chandra Bose airport is 17 km away from city centre. Direct flights from Chennai to Kolkata are operated by Spicejet, Indigo airlines, Jet Konnect and Air India with an average flight time of 2 hour 10 minutes. Fares range from Rs 7821/- for economy to Rs 29170/- for Business class. Comfort Inn Marina Towers Chennai and Fairlawn Hotel Kolkata could be tried for south Indian food and for east India food.
