Going on the inevitable business trip or much-awaited vacation can take us very far away from the comforts of our own home. The sojourn might take a week up to a few months in a local or foreign location, but the result is ultimately the same: homesickness! We start to miss our family and friends. Usually, being away from home makes a person feel more alone than ever due to the new, sometimes alienating, surroundings. Likewise, our family and friends miss us too. How do we bridge this gap?
