Make 2013 A Healthy Pain Free Year
The New Year is here, and thoughts usually turn to resolutions and self-improvement. For some of us that means eating healthier or exercising more. Consider adding a comprehensive wellness plan to have a healthy, pain-free year.Chiropractic care can be a vital component to a healthy lifestyle. Follow these tips to maintain a Healthy pain free year.
• Stretch when you get up in the morning. A few minutes of stretching each day will help you loosen up.
• Eat a healthy breakfast. One of the worst things you can do is to skip this important meal.
• Don’t carry a heavy briefcase, backpack, or purse with the strap over one shoulder, unless placing the strap over your head on the side opposite the bag. Carrying a bag on one shoulder places uneven weight on one side of your body which can cause both back and shoulder pain.
• Make an effort to keep moving while at work and take periodic stretch breaks.
• Maintain good posture at work.Make sure your work station is ergonomically friendly.
• Drink enough water.You should be drinking half of your body weight in fluid ounces daily.

• Make sure your vehicle is posture friendly too.We end up spending a lot of time in our cars.
• Sleep with a good pillow.
• Sleep 8 hours a night.Adequate sleep makes you feel better, decreases risk for cardiovascular disease and boosts memory.
• Don’t consistently cross the same leg over the other which can lead to spine misalignment.
