Colors help in expressing oneself. Colors are all about adding spice and some vigor into life. By creating, a beautiful and colorful room decor, one can add a lot of jazz and style into one’s life itself. However, color is good but if it is overdone, it may not look as good and may appear to be pricking to the eyes.
The trick to induce colors is to choose harmonious colors and to choose colors which are in a way merging with each other. However, if one uses colors which are not so harmonious, one needs to find ways to make sure that the colors are not presenting too bold a picture. The color scheme needs to be broken with the help of furnishing and accessories.
There are different shades of browns and creams which look good with bright colors like blues and reds. One lighter shade has to be contrasted with other bolder shade. For instance, if your walls are bright, buy furnishing which is not so bright. Do not go in for glossy furnishing if you have gloss laminate walls.
Mix and match furnishing, for instance if your sofa is of the darker tone, lighten it with cushions and sofa covers. There can be patterns ...
... that can be introduced with the runners and rugs in the room in case the sofa is around the darker hue. There are browns and creams which naturally refresh one’s eyes and make a person feel very calm and very composed. Lighter colors like cream offer a very monochromatic color scheme if they are not pitched together with bright and cheerful hues.
The colors have to be chosen in a manner which involves not just brightness but also balance. For instance, if one talks about kitchen decor, if solid surface countertops that are chosen are bright, then it would make sense to let the colors of the walls and the floors is subtle and peaceful.
If one likes to experiment with colors and likes it all bright and jazzy, one needs to pair muted and slightly subtle tones of furnishings to ensure a nice and creative decor. One can induce some geometric as well as contemporary patterns and accent the elegance and style quotient. There are sofas, beds with headboards, high pressure laminate solutions with abstract and bold designs.
To sum up, colors add a lot of life to a home but colors need to be used in a very clever way to keep up the peaceful interior design. Through patterns, accessories and art, one can keep up the quotient of class and style without pricking the eyes with colors and chaos.
