• If adapter connected to the NETGEAR router shows “Media disconnected", you should check the physical connection like ethernet cable in case of a wired connection, wireless settings in case of a wireless adapter.

• Remember that NETGEAR router's IP address is the default gateway address of the network adapter connected to the router.

• You can get the router interface using the default gateway address or type routerlogin page on your browser.

• You will be provoked for username and password to access the interface. By default the username is admin, and the default password is password except you have changed it.

• If you are yet incapable to access the administration interface, just disable any firewall software and try once more. You should also use a dissimilar computer to access the router interface.
