8 Reasons Buying A Holiday Package Makes Sense
So a holiday season is ‘round the corner and you have declared your holiday resolutions to your colleagues. You call up your travel agent to book you a ticket. Your ordeal starts with that one phone call
1. Your agent tells you that ‘all’ tickets to ‘all’ destinations have been (miraculously) sold out. So the only option you have is to buy the ticket in “black.” You are ignorant of the conveniences that come attached with the tour packages.
2. You organise alternate travel arrangements and decide that you’ll swim all waters and fly all skies if that’s what it takes. You change buses and taxis to finally reach your desired holiday destination.
3. After you are in the new city, you suddenly realise that you don’t know what language to communicate in. People are rolling past you. It’s bizarre… and you are suddenly gripped by that fear- where will you sleep?
4. You manage a hotel room at a high tariff (‘cuz everybody else has miraculously already been on time to book rooms with cheap tour packages). You curse your stars and planets and hobble off to your room and slam that door! ...
... This is when you hear that worrying sound. It is your rumbling stomach.
5. You are out on the streets again, amidst all those alien sounding people. You see a cute little restaurant and decide that it’s time to be a sport. Your troubles are all over and it is finally time to feast on some local cuisine. You scan through the menu, which is obviously printed in English; but can’t understand a thing. ‘What dishes are these?’ you think.
6. You do the dear old inkie-pinkie-ponkie and put your finger on Hashima because it looks Chinese, and you are sure there’ll be noodles. You taste the food, and the next thing you know is you are headed to the washroom.
7. After that little experience, you take a walk out on the roads for some fresh air. You do not have an itinerary like the ones that travel packages come with, but you are pretty sure of your list of ‘must-see’ places. The rest of the day, you’re just figuring out how to be where, and when.
8. On the last day of your ‘discovering the city’ you realise that you have actually not seen more than most of your ‘must-see’ places, have not bought anything for your family, and have burned a HUGE hole in your pocket.
Even discoveries need strategies. All that you needed was one phone call to a good travel agency, which would have offered you cheap tour packages. Not only cheap, but also time saving and relaxed tour packages.
So do remember that your little break is not the time to be a banjara. Call WeAreHolidays today for smart and well researched travel packages.
