These days, many people suffer from different diseases; in those physical disability is one of the main diseases. It can be caused due to some illness, accident, health issues, old age conditions, paralysis and many more problems. People who suffer from physical disability find it difficult to do their daily activities. It’s difficult for them to commute from one place to another. For these reasons, they are dependent on their family members. In earlier days, people used wheelchairs, which had to be manually maneuvered. It was difficult for the patients to push these with the hands. These days, technology has advanced and now there are easy to use wheelchairs and disabled scooters.

These wheelchairs are also called as powered wheelchairs or power chairs, as these use electric battery. It is good for the elders, who have lost their mobility. They can roam in entire house with the help of these power chairs. These are easy to operate with a joy stick controller, which is there on the arm of the chair. These are specially designed for the indoor usage and for shopping areas. However, these are not recommended for being ...
... used on the road. Usually, some roads have unleveled surfaces; and these power chairs may lose the stability and, which might lead to damage. These power chairs come with recliner seats to give more comfort. You can adjust the seat according to your requirement. These are easy to use and contain batteries. Each wheel has an attached motor, which helps the chair to move.

Disabled scooters also called as mobility vehicles, on the other hand, recommended for outdoor use on the roads. These are easy to ride. You do not require a license for these, as these are declared as ‘invalid carriages’ by the UK government. Now, you can commute wherever you want without seeking any help. These are really helpful to start independent life. There are many models of these scooters such as three, four and five wheeled to give more stability. Four wheeler scooters are gaining popularity, as these offer more stability and safety. You can carry these vehicles on the roads in nearby areas like parks, shopping mall and more. These vehicles have maximum speed limit from 4 mph to 8 mph. These have removable components for easy transportation. Wherever you go, you can take these along with you.

Both these vehicles have their importance; you have to choose from them according to your need. If you need a mobility aid for indoor use, then, choose power chair. If you need one for outdoor purposes, then, mobility scooter is the best choice.
