Every industry requires quick coupling for connecting hoses and fluid transfer gear. Whether its construction, marine engineering, pharmaceuticals, chemical or agriculture, the use of quick couplings has only increased and today there are specialized couplings for every purpose. On site use of couplings is permissible for many industries and these make the project function smoothly.

Using quick couplings

A quick connect and release coupling comes in different varieties. There are simple couplings without internal valves. Some have double valves for minimizing waste generation. All couplings must be certified by ISO and conform to industrial standards. A coupling holds hoses in place, locks them and makes them spillage free. No amount of liquid flow seeps out or drips from hose connections when these couplings are used. Further when hoses are unlocked, the internal valve system undergoes auto valve lock to shut off the industrial liquid from making any contact with the external surface. In their construction and functions, ...
... couplings offer effective hose networking and form reliable passages for pressure lines. Most quality couplings are resistant to chemical corrosion. Also, they are neutral to changes in heat and pressure. Hence, they do not downgrade in their make and are always the perfect tools for hoses.

Most quick couplings come in brass bodies with metal finish, aluminium, carbon steel and gunmetal although these days you have PVC couplings too. There are stainless steel bearings and triple valve check arrangements. They can be sized at half an inch to 2 and a half inches to up to 6 inches. The sealing material is mostly Nitrile, Neoprene, Silicone or Teflon. These are used as per the industry requirement. A quick release and disconnect coupling is now used in drilling, refineries, paint and dye companies, cement, railways, steel plants, firefighting equipment and fertilizer industries.
