It is not just our physical health that is affected by exercise. By heading out regularly and getting fresh air into your lungs and blood pumping through your muscles, you are far more likely to be happier and more positive too. Not only does exercise release endorphins, offering a sense of happiness and wellbeing, but the ability to find peace and tranquillity on a run or when cycling is also extremely important to allow people to feel free and less restrained by their everyday life.

Yet, it is not just individual exercise that is important for mental wellbeing, and not only will getting your body into shape help you to feel more comfortable with yourself and more confident, but playing team sports also increases social interaction and that all important team spirit.

Many people who exercise regularly may not notice the positive effects of exercise on their mental health until an injury stops them from taking part. At such a time, it is not uncommon for people to feel irritable and even to withdraw from social interaction completely. Lack of exercise can lead to all manner of problems from depression to anxiety, ...
... and a lack of exercise may even make individuals aggressive, whether through frustration or through an excess of unspent energy.

Therefore, anyone experiencing long-term injuries is likely to benefit from seeing a Wimbledon physio as soon as possible. Ensuring injuries are remedied as soon as possible will make a big difference and trying to go back to a sport or exercise in general may lead to more long term problems that leave you unable to exercise indefinitely.

Not only will Wimbledon physiotherapy help you to get back to exercise far quicker, but the right physio will also be able to advise you as to when you are fully fit to help you avoid making problems worse, whilst knowing that you will be back in action quicker will almost certainly stave off much of the potential for an injury to affect you emotionally.
