The other day we were all sitting in the office and discussing the ways in which we could give our cafeteria a makeover. Cafeteria is a place we all eat food and sort of recharge ourselves for the rest of the day. It is a space where we eat and have chat sessions to refresh and rejuvenate with tea and coffee. So we decided why not give our cafeteria a makeover to boost some positive energy.
We all thought that we should pool in ideas to ensure that the cafeteria looks as good as new and emits positive energy only. Different people gave different ideas for the cafeteria makeover. We decided to give the cafeteria makeover a nice twist with some green elements.
Why did we think of ‘green elements’? We thought of going green when it comes to the cafeteria because ‘green’ is a color that infuses energy and we thought that it would really help us feel refreshed and positive.
To infuse that element of freshness and revitalizing the whole spirit, we thought of playing with subtle colors like green, white, blue etc. We got the cafeteria walls painted in sea blue and sea green colors. We got plastic laminate ...
... for one whole wall and turned it into the wall with interesting murals from sea life.
After getting the wall decor fixed, we moved onto the flooring of the decor. We decided on white floors to make sure that the area looks bright and expansive. Matching these white floors we got tables made of subtle colored compact laminates. These tables made of laminates were installed because laminate furnishing is much easier to take care of and maintain. These also last longer and stay on for a really really long time.
To accessorize, we bought some beautiful sea paintings. We also brought in some indoor plants to place around the space. The plants we chose were in different shapes and sizes with unique kind of leaves. We got some colorful pots to keep these plants.
To add to the whole, green and natural theme, we made sure that the counters in the cafeteria were made of greenguard certified laminates. The whole cafeteria turned out to be perfectly great looking and as we planned- very natural and refreshing. Needless to say, the cafeteria became our hang out zone and became a space where all of us enjoyed a great deal sipping coffee and tea to refresh and unwind.
