They tried to find the answer in successive Roman Emperors. But they were unsuccessful. Somewhere around the fourth century this research was banned, since society deemed it to be too dangerous. However, with the Protestant Reformation in the sixteenth century, research into eschatological prophecies was renewed again. Regardless of the sincerity of the various theologians who have attempted, over the centuries, to interpret the prophecies, most of the attempts have been unsuccessful.

Just as scientific theories must be tested before they are accepted as laws, eschatological paradigms must also be tested before they are accepted as a revelation. And the way to test any eschatological paradigm is simple. All eschatological prophecies from both the Old and the New Testaments ...

They present a new end time paradigm which reveals the true identity of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Before trying to understand any Bible Prophecy the researcher must first understand the nature of the terms given in those prophecies. Two of the most important terms are Gog and Magog. These are names that appear in many Abrahamic scriptures. The context in which they are used can be genealogical or eschatological or related to an apocalypse. They are sometimes individuals, sometimes groups of people and sometimes geographic regions. This crisis may take the form of the intervention of a deity in history, a war, a change in the environment or the reaching of a new level of consciousness.

By keeping a timeline of major world events and keeping a track record of it through blogs, modern researchers have tried to accurately interpret religious scriptures. Reading books that dwell on such matters can help clarify the doubts of many people who seek a greater understanding of the world around them.
