Well, there is normal sadness; the way you feel when you are not happy about something that has happened to you. And then there is serious sadness; that's what they call depression. It's what happens to you when you stay too sad for too long, so that you don't even know what you are being sad about anymore. Finally, we've got severe or major depression. That's when you want to end it all. So, unless you steer off depression as soon as it starts, it might lead to such conditions that won't be pleasant one bit.

In the United States, a lot of people experience serious depression all the time. It is known that ...
... at some point during their lives, up to 17% of the populace is bound to suffer from the condition. Although not all of them are critical, you will agree with me that the effects are such that we could do better without them. Don't join those that make up part of this statistics. Fight and win the war against depression and you will be the better for it.

Depression is common enough as a regular mood that hits once it a while. Some call it the blues, but not when it is the serious type. That is the type of depression that becomes bipolar or manic depression; that is the type of depression that people get admitted into hospital for. The most important tip for depression always is this - don't let it linger in your mind for too long. When you feel a problem is getting out of hand, seek help!

Depression rarely, if ever, comes upon you as a blast. It begins softly, and then it deepens gradually over several months or years, depending on how quickly you catch it - or not. I'd pray you were one of the few people who caught on quick so YOU don't make a mess of YOU, before it's too late.

In all parts of the world that you may visit or hear of, depression can come around. All it needs is one angry person who cannot express themselves properly, or who will not. It comes, it stays, it becomes bad, and then it hurts you and those people around you that love you. Then you can hardly get rid of it without professional help. Don't let depression find it's home in your heart. EVER!

All kinds of people feel depression- old or young, although it used to affect old people a lot more than young. However your age can determine how the condition may affect you. Young people usually are unable to associate their physical symptoms with emotions, but the older people do well enough.

People with major depression feel sad all the time - nearly every minute of every day. Often they cry, and they find it difficult to find joy in any of those wonderful things they used to love. Really, there is nothing pleasant about having or living with depression.
