OXYCONTIN, one of the major prescription drugs that are abused by teens has a nice solution. San Diego Sheriff has a used Prescription drug drop box. The Addiction hotline has a special area on Prescription Drug Abuse and offers an hotline.

Below are drop off centers that Mom’s, Dads, and teens can rid themselves of unwanted addictive medication. Prescription drugs lead to substance abuse and thank god that San Diego Sheriff’s Department is doing something about it.

Addiction hotline today has an Oxycontin addiction hotline staff 24 hours a day 7 days a week to handle any questions you may have regarding Prescription drug Addiction Abuse or help getting into a San Diego Rehab Center for help.

The Solution

The Sheriff’s Department and the Oxy-Contin Task Force have participated in prescription drug “take-back” days in which the public could turn in unwanted medication at specified sites. With the most recent event collecting over 2,500 pounds of controlled substances, the need for safe collection of these substances became even more apparent.
