Have you ever tried to imagine how your life would be if it does not have technology in it? The notion of not having the blessing of science in our lives scares us. The thought itself is enough to make us nervous and we never even take a moment to rethink how lucky we are to have technology in our lives. Have we ever tried to figure out exactly when was the moment when we became so dependent on science? The answer to that question would probably be since the inception of mankind. Man has not been placed on this earth to become slaves to the forces of nature and the problems they pose. No! It is actually in our very souls to strive for a better life, one that is filled with convenience and comfort and this struggle is what led man to go on a journey for finding ways of improving one’s life. Advancement started as soon as man created fire by rubbing two stones together.


Over the ages, science improved and took man from the caves to the moon. We understood that no problem is too big if the right way to combat it can be figured out. In the last few decades itself, technology has seen some amazing breakthroughs ...
... and it has given us everything that used to be a dream even some time back. There was a time when flying was something that only existed in man’s imagination. And now it is a commonplace reality. From construction to production, from medicine to fashion and from mining to agriculture - every sector has been immensely benefited from the advancement in technology.


This is a simple fact and it can be even more clearly understood if we take the example of something that we see every day but never spare a second thought too. Pumps are something so common to us that we forget that a lot of research and thinking have gone into them that have made them more useful. These machines are used everywhere. The mining industry, the medicine industry, the food and beverage industry, the agricultural sectors – these are some of the main sectors that make the use of various types of pumping machines, especially the container pumps. These are mainly used for transferring dangerous fluids from one place to another. These liquids or fluids are in most cases unstable, highly inflammable or toxic. These machines are made of stainless steel and heavily tested to stand heavy usage over the years. Thus they are not only useful but durable too.


There are other types of machines which are equally useful too. The barrel pumps and Packaged Hot Water Circulation Systems can be mentioned in this regard. In the case of the former, often a barrel or a drum is used to transport and store different types of liquids and fluids. Thus these machines are quite bulky and of course heavy. Such a pumping machine consists of a long tube, otherwise known as a hose, which is goes inside the barrel or drum. Another hose leads out of it. The pump itself is generally located at the top.
