Fly fishing is a great activity however, the right set of fly tackle is necessary to enjoy this sport. In fact, without the right type of fly fishing reels, it cannot be conducted properly. The seasoned anglers definitely know the right way of using the tackles and reels. For the amateurs, the entire concept of using these reels can be a bit more intimidating. But, then, there are some special flying reels available for the amateurs also. Let’s have a brief run through the different type of reels available in the market.

There are three types of reels available: Single action, Multiplying, and Automatic. Among these options available, Single Action reels are most popular among expert anglers. The retrieving ratio of these reels is 1:1. Because of their simplicity, these reels have become so popular. Also, these reels have more capacity in terms of capturing monster fishes. They are low in maintenance and features high durability. In short, they are highly reliable option for serious anglers. The single action fly fishing reels ...
... feature minimum parts. So, there is less chance of breakage. Also, it is much easier to change the spools on these reels. They also last longer even with the roughest of usages.

The multiplying fly reels feature much higher retrieve ratio when compared to single action ones. However, reeling of lines can be done in a much quicker way in comparison to single reels. However, the multiplying fly reels have very complicate spring and bearings. They often have the tendency to break down even with minimal of efforts. In tournaments, such reels are totally banned from using. For catching those monster fishes, this type of a reel can be the most obvious choice to make.

The automatic reels are easy to operate. They simply carry out the entire retrieving tasks automatically. There is no need for manual handle retrieving or so. There is a trigger that release the spring for automatic retrieval process. These are quite heavy in weight.
