The Nexus 4 is a dream by comparison. It's sleeker in body, and the fact that it's thicker yet narrower than the Samsung means that I can hold on to it better. Like the Samsung, it is mostly plastic, but it doesn't have that plasticky feel that makes Samsungs seem undeserving of their high prices.

What I see in the Nexus 4 is a great mobile OS, and a strong hardware platform to run it on. But the phones in the stores don't look anything like it. So I am left bitter for two reasons: That I can't have a Nexus 4 on Verizon, the carrier of my choice, and that among Verizon's 6,000 different Android models, not one comes close to resembling this beauty.

The Google Nexus 4 made by LG has been more successful than anybody could have imagined and one of the reasons for its success was that being a Nexus device it offers a pure vanilla Android experience, great for those who like to customize their phones.

Nexus 4 has the similar design and form factor of it predecessor, the Galaxy Nexus. Moreover, both the phones look same, unless you have a closer look at each of them.

The phone features glass design running over its body that’s Gorilla Glass. The glass at the front covers the full face of the device and ends at the side edge. Similar to iPhone 4 design, the back of the device also has an entire glass covering.

The Nexus 4 is also incredibly fast. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, and with 2GB of RAM is one of the fastest phones we've ever tested. Games play like a dream, and pretty much everything we threw at it ran like butter.

But it's software where the Nexus 4 really shines. As a Nexus device it runs the full, stock version of Android Jelly Bean 4.2, and it's now more obvious than ever that Google has conclusively closed the gap on iOS.
