How Bikinis Came Into Existence?
When bikini was launched and noticed by the people, it became a rage. Various experiments were made to its look and the apparel became more appealing than ever. To find out how bikini evolved, you may watch HD footage in an online library.
Bikinis have been quite a favourite since they came into existence. Preferred as an attire to wear to the beach or at a pool party, the bikini has quite an interesting story behind its birth. To begin with…the bikini owes its name to a place called Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands and was born on 5th July 1946.
At the time, Bikini Atoll was used as the fourth site for a nuclear explosion on the planet and the event was shown over the television. Just weeks after the testing, Louis Reard, a Parisian swimwear designer, introduced the world's smallest piece of swimwear…the bikini. This new introduction to the swimwear segment was supposed to be as explosive as the nuclear bomb tested on Bikini Atoll and that it truly was. Though most of the models and even the high society women wondered about this 'bikini' and most of them refused to wear it, the bikini had started becoming ...
... the talk of the town from the moment it was launched. It was the smallest piece of clothing to be worn in public anyone had even introduced.
Many people will be surprised to hear that no model was ready to wear the bikini to model it for the designer in the earlier days. The aversion came from the fact that before these tiny wisps of clothing were introduced as public wear, the swimwear used to cover a lot of the body while the bikini was just enough to cover the basics. It was quite a difficult choice for the women to make and for the culture to get used to because showing the navel back then was something that just didn't happen. That is why it was considered to be quite immoral to be seen in something as revealing as that. You can find various HD clips online to see the difference and the evolution of the bikini to what it is today.
Finally, it was Michele Bernadini, a Parisian model and dancer who accepted to model the bikini for Reard and wore the bikini for the first time for the Paris fashion press. The bikini was just 129 square inches with a small string triangle top and string briefs that started way below the navel. This was quite outrageous considering the fashion back then because this bikini didn't even cover the buttocks.
However, once the bikini was launched and noticed by the people, the bikini became a rage in the following years with various experiments being done to make its look more appealing than ever. The following years saw the introduction of various types of bikinis that combined quite a few interesting possibilities that are preferred today by the modern women.
By 1950, things had settled down and the bikini had found a path…various celebrities were now comfortable wearing the more conservative version of the bikini. Though in 1960, the bikini did try to make a comeback in a bond movie where Ursula Andress came out of the ocean in a really small bikini, the world still wasn't ready to bare so much yet. The navel could easily be shown at this time and this remained quite popular till the 80s. The string bikinis became acceptable very recently with the modern women wanting to be more expressive and to dress the way they want when they went out for some fun time in the sun.
Today, we see a variety of bikinis and they have their own shopping spree dedicated to them. You can find monokinis, various types of tops and bottoms that can be matched to make a bikini and modest to outrageous versions of these can be seen making women of all ages and sizes feel beautiful and can be themselves. You can see some amazing HD videos about the evolution of the bikini on an HD footage library. Such a library will have footage on different topics and you can choose one according to your interest.
