In 28 days from now the USA will have a new, Democratic President and people are already trying to figure out what stance President Obama will take on online casino gambling.

It is the popular belief that one of his first acts as president will be to reverse the online casino ban that President Bush signed into law in 2006.

This would be a good move for the country because not only would it finally end several years of problems between the World Trade Organization, but it also could help bring in much needed money to our struggling economy.

It is well known that President Obama is planning on raising taxes, but if he reverses the ban it can help bring in hundreds of millions of dollars a year in new taxes and may allow Obama to raise taxes by less then he was intending to.

No one can deny that at times like these the government could put the new tax money to good use like helping to bail out the working folks who maybe could use a bailout like we are giving to many large corporations with millionaire CEO's who somehow get to file bankruptcy for the company while paying themselves million dollar a ...
... year salaries, and improving our schools, but what about the downside to such easy access to casino gambling.

Many people in the United States are against gambling in any form, be it casino, online casino or even a simple game of Bingo ran by the church. Many people are against gambling for religious reasons and some are against it because they feel that giving everyone such easy access will raise the number or people who suffer from Gambling Addiction.

Currently you would have to a casino to do some gambling, and unless you live in Nevada or Atlantic City chances are you have to take a drive to get to the casino, and maybe what keeps you from gambling is the fact that you don't want to take that drive, but if you could legally gamble from your home computer or your cell phone you would not be able to resist the temptation.

Online gambling also makes it much easier for underage kids to access the casinos. with a brick and mortar casino you can post guards at the doors and if someone looks to be of a questionable age you can check their identification and if they are underage you can prevent them from ever entering the casino, but in an online casino all you need is a credit card, and today it is more and more common for teens to have a credit card in their parents names.

This will allow minors to open accounts in their parent's names without their parents or the casinos ever finding out. There is no one who can visually check to see if this person is who they claim to be in an online casino, making it very hard to stop underage gambling from taking place.

The issue of Online Casino Gambling will be around for a long time to come.
