When Audi started to work on second generation of the A4, it set its sights on increasing interior space and driver appeal. Audi achieved these tasks successfully by creating a real competitor to the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes Benz C Class. The cabin hasn’t got that much of a storage space but the boot is an improvement on the previous version. The space at the rear is good but tall passengers may find it a little confined. It scored four-stars in Euro NCAP crash test and comes with lots of safety equipment. All models get ABS and ESP as standard whereas an anti-theft alarm and VIN-etched windows are also fitted. There are six safety air bags fitted as standard while the rear side airbags are optional. The Audi A4 is a very reliable car like all other models in Audi’s range.
