Named after the beautiful and vast Thar Desert, Mahindra’s new car is designed to take over the utility vehicle market. Thar looks like a jeep and has a large bonnet on the front track which gives it a commanding, strong look compared to other vehicles. The wide tires add to the extraordinary look and the elegance of external features along with making the car easy to maneuver.

This engine complies with the Bharat Stage IV norms. With 2498cc it delivers a power of 77.23 kW and a maximum torque of 247 Nm at 1800 rpm to 2000 rpm.

The Di is different and is available in 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive options and has a MDI 3200TC L engine. Delivering a displacement of 2523cc, it offers maximum power of 63 bhp and a torque of 182.5 Nm at 1500 rpm to 1800 rpm.

At the first look Thar looks traditional, keeping with the old times look. However, it has a touch of contemporary comfort and luxury. It looks powerful and sturdy on the outside and classy on the inside.
