Identifying The Location Through Domain Name

Domains are the distinct subset of the internet with addresses sharing a common suffix. The domain names are the way to identify and locate computers connected to the internet. No two organizations can have the same domain name. It always contains two or more than two components separated by periods known as dots. The last portion of the domain is the top level domain name. It describes the type of organization holding that name.
The major categories for top level domain name are com, edu, gov, int, mil, net, org where com is used for the purpose of commercial entities, edu is used for educational institutions, gov is used for non military government institutions, int is used for international institutions, mil is used for military institutions, net is used for network resources and org is used for non profit organizations. Each domain name corresponds to a numeric IP address that is internet protocol address. An internet protocol address takes the form of four numbers each of one lying between 0 and 255, separated by periods.
In case of outside the united state, a code is included with the domain name that indicate ...
... to which country it belongs. This code consists of only two characters which are used to represent the international country code. There are literally scores of geographic domain codes. A few geographic domain codes are au for Australia, ca for Canada, ch for Switzerland, dk for Denmark, es for Spain, fr for France, il for Israel, it for Italy, jp for Japan, mx for Mexico, nz for New Zealand, pl for Poland, ru for Russian federation, tr for Turkey, uk for United Kingdom, us for united states, va for Vatican and such domain names representing the country. United states also have a domain code but in reality it is used in rare cases. However, on the internet it is assumed that if there is no geographic code used then the domain is located within the United States.
The internet uses numeric internet protocol address to send data. For instance, a user may be trying to connect to a World Wide Web server with the domain name www.example.com but as far as the network is concerned he or she is connecting to the web server with the internet protocol address associated with that domain name whether it is the cheapest domain names or any other domain name. The domain name system that is DNS completes the task of matching domain names to internet protocol address. The respective domain names and their corresponding internet protocol address must be unique for every device.
Thus it can be concluded that domain naming system is a collection of databases that contain information about the cheap domain name and their corresponding internet protocol address.
