The auto expo 2010 saw a unique mid-size sedan unveiled by the popular Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited. The Toyota Etios was placed in the market, as the value for money car that housed classy interiors, powerful engine and higher fuel economy. Its main competitors were the other sedans like Maruti Swift Dzire, Tata Manza and Hyundai Accent.

While it promised quite a bit in low prices, did it really deliver? Let’s find out. But before that it is essential to know more about Etios.

Toyota Etios Specification

This sedan has a power packed, high performance engine. It is assimilated with 1.5 liter 2NR-FE, Gasoline, 4 Cylinder 16V, DOHC petrol engine that churns out power output of 88.7 bhp at 5600 rpm and peak torque of 132 Nm at 3000 rpm. Along with this, it is supported by independent McPherson strut shock absorbers at front and non-independent Torsion Beam at rear. While the petrol engine is strong, the diesel one isn’t far behind. Toyota Etios 2011 diesel variants are loaded with 1364 cc engine that has power output of 67 bhp at 3800 rpm.

Toyota Etios ...
... specifications go beyond just a powerful engine, the exteriors and interiors are just as classy. Black lower grille, upper grille in chrome finish, standard rear side view mirrors, pearl white fog lamps, detailed headlamps and rain wipers together create the exceptional look of this sedan.

Toyota Etios Reviews

The brand seems to have played it safe when it comes to look of Etios. The style, design and built seem to be well proportioned and quite balanced, thanks to the long wheelbase. But it is nothing that will get your attention or make it attracted, suiting with its budgeted nature. However, if the exterior doesn’t appeal to you, the Etios’ interior certainly will. It is the most comfortable car as compared to its contemporaries. The rear seats with their large squabs, perfect backrest angle and the right amount of cushioning are supremely comfortable.Toyota Etios reviews suggest that the 1.5-litre motor is extremely powerful and strong, but produces just under 90bhp.

Based on your requirement and expert review you may choose to get this car.
