Wines Of The Week: Turnbull Cellars – Napa Valley
Renowned award-winning Bay Area architect William Turnbull founded Johnson Turnbull Vineyards in 1979. Turnbull Cellars was designed to be low-key and in tune with its environment, and is a classic example of a small hands-on Napa Valley winery. William Turnbull once said, “You want to have an image of a winery that cares about the last drop of wine in the bottle.” That tradition is carried on today with their100% Estate grown single-vineyard designate Cabernets.

A bouquet of blackberries, currants, cherries, and mocha greets the senses. With a sip, flavors of blackberry, boysenberries, and cassis emerge, highlighted by notes of dark chocolate, toasty oak, and dusty earth. A supple Cab that fans of dark, rich reds will enjoy. 486 cases produced.

Flavors of currant, plum, and blackberry meld with suggestions of earth, sweet spice, and roast coffee on the palate.
