A smaller website may not have the desire or the expertise to implement good security. That's why many buyers are vary of purchasing from a website that's not big.

These days classifies too are becoming a major shopping source. Individuals who don't believe in auctions, or don't want to hold one advertise their wares in classified websites. Buyers who are interested in the products can call up the advertiser directly and the rest of the transaction is offline. Since the website has a very little role, or revenue to get from this, this is a very rare market positioning among eBay alternatives.
