Every year, Muslims from across the world take part in the largest procession of the world, the Hajj, or Islamic pilgrimage. Hajj is a sacred duty that should be fulfilled by every Muslim at least once in his or her life. It is a commitment that must be fulfilled by all those people who are financially and physically able.
In the historic days, people of all class, age, race, rich, and poor, men and women, old and young, used to stand before the God. They used to stand at the holiest of shrine’s that is present in the center of the Muslim world. There people used to call upon the God to accept their good deeds. These were the days that used to signify the pinnacle of every Muslim’s lifetime.

During the period of Hajj, Muslims dress in a simple manner, and observe all the rules and pray in the same manner and in the same time to achieve the same results. During this period there is no royalty or nobility but only modesty and complete devotion. During these days the commitment of the Muslims towards their religion and towards Allah is confirmed. It sustains their willingness to leave the materialistic pleasures for the sake of God.
The Islamic pilgrimage is a reminder of the majestic gathering on the Day of Judgment when people would stand before the God and wait for their final destiny. In this religion it is believed that God does not judge you on the basis of your look or your hearts but he tests your heart and tests your deeds.
