The usage directions are always beneficial for the seal users, which they are purchasing. Few of the seals require oil to work properly or they may not function in some specific temperature.


Many of the seal makers suggest using petroleum jelly before the installation of mechanical seal. Some advises to use light mineral oil or compressor oil. Greasy things are best to slip the rubber- sealing boot for better performance.
