Effective Weight Loss
What is effective weight loss? How is that different from weight loss? The difference between effective weight loss and just weight loss is that effective weight loss is weight loss that is healthy and sustainable. When you lose weight quickly you are probably just losing water weight and bloat and you will probably end up gaining that weight back as soon as you go off the diet. That is not effective weight loss. Effective weight loss is losing weight and keeping it off for years and maybe even for the rest of your life. In order to achieve effective weight loss you need to change your lifestyle, not just change how you eat for a few weeks or a few months the way you would if you were on a diet. Healthy weight loss comes from learning how to eat differently. A lot of times people eat for comfort or people eat because they're lonely or people eat because food just plain tastes good. But we really need to eat in order to nourish our bodies, not to fill some emptiness in your lives. When you can start to see food as fuel for your body and not as a source of love, or comfort, of safety then you can start to make a healthy ...
... change in your life that will lead to effective weight loss. Stop working against your body and work with it. Your body wants to regulate itself and be at a healthy weight, but you sabotage your body's efforts to be healthy. Learning to eat the food that you need to fuel your body and to exercise in the right amounts will help you get healthy and lose weight.
Even though every diet and nutrition and fitness expert will tell you that the only way to lose weight and keep it off is through a healthy diet and exercise people still try to find shortcuts using diet pills, diet supplements and diets that tell you to eat odd things in very odd amounts. Stop trying to take a shortcut. In the long run those shortcuts can cause serious damage to your body. In fact, it could be all those diets that you have tried in the past that are keeping you from losing weight. The more you diet the more off kilter your body becomes because you are constantly adding food or subtracting food or eating different foods and your endocrine system can't keep up. You can put a lot of stress on your body if you diet constantly and that might make your body not work properly anymore. You can only achieve effective weight loss through a nutritious diet and exercise. It really is the only way. So if you want to lose weight and keep it off you can start right now. Start educating yourself about nutrition. Get into a fitness program or start working out at home. Eat healthy, exercise and lose weight. It really is that simple. But you have to do the work. You need to eat healthy every day. You need to exercise at least five days a week. Start doing that and you'll see results.
