The Winner Green Home Project

My sister has a son and he gets these school projects for which I constantly help him out! Last month, my sister was getting her house renovated and refurnished and her son got this enormous project of clicking pictures of the home to show that the home is green and environment friendly!
The more the number of pictures to win the competition, the more chances of winning! So, I and my nephew started clicking the pictures of the house to make an album for his project.
We went to the most obvious green area of the house- the garden. My sister loves gardening and therefore, she has a beautiful garden in her home. She has plants and flowers all around the area. The grass is pruned and looks beautiful. The area is a delight to be in. We took pictures of the garden area and enjoyed a great deal doing that. I was sure that my nephew would win the competition as my sister loves plants so she has plants not just in the garden but also inside the house.
After clicking pictures of the garden, both of us went inside the house and clicked pictures of green plants in every corner of the home. The amazing plants sitting on ...
... plastic laminate in the kitchen, the beautiful flowery plants in the living room and even the restroom had plants…we clicked them all!
After clicking the plants in the area, we thought the job was done. But my sister told us that she has the latest Greenguard certified laminate countertops installed in the restrooms and the kitchen. So, we could very well click pictures of those areas to boast about the ‘green’ factor in the house decor!
By the end of it, we had some amazing number of pictures and we got down to make a nice album to participate in the competition. As soon as we started to marvel thinking that we would win, my sister showed another area of the house which we had totally left out! She took us to the terrace where she was getting a room made for the purpose of recreation. As we stepped into the area, she pointed towards the boxes with green building materials. I was too stunned to make that discovery and it was then that she told me that there is a tremendous variety of green building materials which can be used to make the house even greener!
After such innovative pictures, we all knew my nephew would win!
