According to the IDC (International Data Corporation), the market share of HP’ blade server during the first quarter of 2010 was 56.1%, and 39.2% market share for x86 servers.

Along with these ProLiant servers, seven new Hewlett-Packard ProLiant G7 server blades have been introduced that are best for virtualized environments. There are the industry’s first blades that feature 1 TB memory and Flex-Fabric 10 GB Virtual technology for improved scalability. As compared to the competitive blades, these HP ProLiant G7 server blades deliver up to four times greater performance and data throughput.

HP has included converging storage networks, wire-once network and automated connectivity to its industry leading virtual connect portfolio. This has been made possible by the deployment of new Flex-Fabric module into the HP ProLiant G7 blades. This powerful device enables the data managers to connect the servers to any iSCSI, Ethernet and Fiber channel without requiring any multiple interconnects.

That’s not all; HP’s exclusive Blade-System Matrix software also has been intelligently integrated with the servers. This powerful integration and converged infrastructure allows seamless deployment of servers in virtual I.T environments, thus leading to superior operational efficiency.

During first half of 2010, the sale of HP’s Virtual Connect ports has crossed three million, which is almost double as compared to the last year’s sales. This is really a significant boost in sales, which reflects the superiority of HP products.
