In this day and age it has never been easier for music artists to promote their talent and to offer their music to the consumer market. In fact, in this day and age most musical talents can produce an album without the need for studio time. They can in fact create demo recordings from home with the use of high quality audio products that can easily be installed on their computers. These people can then turn around and offer their music for download for profit online via websites like iTunes or through their own website.

These music artists can then market their music through a wide variety of social media outlets. The great news is that the majority of these social networking websites are free to use. This allows a music artist to keep more money in their pocket as they set out to market and release their music online in an attempt to produce revenue or to be discovered by a record label.

Registering accounts with Facebook, YouTube and Twitter is the first place that you will want to start. Completely fill out your profiles with your bands information including contact information. That way if a record label ...
... or other entertainment individual were to discover your music and like it they could easily get in contact with you.

Once you have established these accounts for marketing purposes you will want to first add your friends, family members, co-workers, and any other individuals that you know are interested in your music. Once you have done this you should ask these followers to share the links to your social networking profiles with other people that they know. This will quickly allow you to gain followers that will actually be interested in the type of music that you are generating.
