San Diego is considered as one of the smaller cities of United States but hence at the end of the story it is known among such cities that have promoted the arts at an increased height. For improving the artistic standards, there are many museums and galleries including the parks that are serving the tourists and drawing them closer towards the artistic world of San Diego. In all such parks of San Diego, we have the North Park that arranges special exhibitions and galleries that signifies the art talent of the people of San Diego. These events and exhibitions are commenced on every second Saturday of each month. In addition some of the additional known galleries are La Jolla and Solana Beach. Moreover, as we mentioned earlier that the museums have also been tremendously supporting the artistic culture and in all such museums we have San Diego Museum of Art, the Timken Gallery, the Mingei International Museum, Museum of Photographic Arts, Museum of the Living Artist and Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

Fleet Science Center and the San Diego Air & Space Museum. Furthermore, the Symphony and opera section of San Diego also plays an enormous and prominent role in spreading out the arts and culture of San Diego. The San Diego opera has been linked with the Opera America that is known amongst the most famous and reputed opera companies in the world. There are number of educational centers as well that show case their musical skills named by San Diego State University, University of California at San Diego, University of San Diego and Point Loma Nazarene College. One of the main attractions in San Diego arts culture has been the Old Global Theater that has been located and situated in San Diego for over 70 years and almost 15 musical plays are held in this center every year. In 1984, Old Global Theater was awarded with Tony Award for being the best theater on regional level.

In addition, San Diego Repertory Theater has been also involved in presenting the plays and musical concerts at an increased height. Some of the other main theaters have been Lyric Opera San Diego that has been enormously indulged in the showcase of comedy plays and musical concerts. However, this theater has been currently closed for all sorts of plays due to bankruptcy. Some of the extra known theaters are Cygnet Theatre, Christian Community Theater, Vanguard Theater, Lamb's Players Theater, Diversionary Theatre, and San Diego Junior Theatre.
