Frame Your Own Weight Loss Challenge

The weight loss industry has tapped into the reality television market and certainly has got a huge fan following. Weight loss competitions are bringing in high ratings and have proved exciting viewing by most critics. For many of us sweating and crying on television doesn’t seem a good idea for weight loss. But what could be a better motivation that a friendly competition and a little cash prize that make us work harder.
Mark up the start date and the length that competition should last. A month and a half is good for a friendly challenge. Draw the clear lines and rules like the amount of dues for participation, no diet pills or temporary anorexia allowed. All members can follow any diet of their choice, unless it is healthy and safe. Designate person to collect dues when people sign up.
Find a group of friends, family, colleagues or neighbors who are willing to participate in the weight loss competition. Put some advertisement like posting a flyer or sending an email to participate. Put in the fun flavor so that more and more individuals are willing to participate. The advertisements in all ways should include ...
... the start date, end date and all rules and regulations.
Designate a private area and a person for weigh ins. This is just for fun, not to embarrass or stress anyone, so let only one persona handle all the weigh in the task. Weekly weigh in and updates keep the group motivated. With every week competition is going to get tougher, since all will be trying hard to reach their goals close to the end date. The easiest way to determine the winner is by the total pounds lost by an individual. You can even go for the percentage loss of any other criteria but keep it as simple as possible.
Don’t make it a cutthroat competition and this isn’t a television drama. Support each other. The entire participating team can work together helping and motivating each other. Share diets and fitness tips and keep encouraging each other as much as it has been planned.
Make a game plan. You organized this challenge but you did it to meet your own fitness goals. Don’t get wrapped up in the whole organization and management that you forget your own fitness goals and targets. Everyone including you wants to win. The great thing about this weight loss challenge is whether the participants win or loose they are going to feel great and look better than when they started.
Another thing that you can do to this whole competition is collective participation. You can invite families instead of individuals to take part. Each family can be given a name. You can think over some funny team names for weight loss challenge and assign it to each group. Working out collectively is always fun instead of a single individual.
