Intermittent lameness, weight gain, depression, disinterest in physical activity, lack of appetite, irritability, lethargy, pain, swollen joints, prolonged sleeping time, abnormal stance while walking, exercise intolerance, visible joint deformities, and several other symptoms can provide you with a clear idea that your dog is really suffering from arthritis. Dogs Immune System gets disrupted and it immediately gets aggressive when touched. Mood swings, unusual behavior should be carefully handled in order to prevent the disease from affecting the mobility. This disease is known to affect older dogs like humans and this is no specific gender predisposition for the development of arthritis ailment.

But you do not need to worry of your pet is suffering from this ailment as it’s absolutely curable. It’s necessary for your pet to have a healthy diet and keep exercising to maintain proper weight.

Do consult your veterinarian regarding the medical treatment for relief from pain and quick recovery. Food containing glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate or Omega fatty acids are known to cure this disease quickly. Dog arthritis should never be overlooked and do not try to give human medication to your pet as it might prove to be toxic for your pet.
