There used to be a time when building construction was as difficult a job as launching a rocket. There were a zillion calculations to be made and the strength and durability of the buildings depended upon the accuracy of those calculations. A slightest mistake in that field could actually result in tremendous losses which might have been more than just money. Yes, it was a humongous task, to say the least. Keeping aside the accuracy of calculations which was the concern of architects, there were certain issues that gave the engineers and builders a pretty hard time too. And one such issue was the transportation of concrete. As anyone would know a construction work requires the use of a huge amount of concrete. Carrying the concrete from one point of the construction site to another is never an easy job. If done in the conventional way, it requires a lot of manpower and is definitely very time consuming.

That is why; it came as a great relief when concrete pumps were introduced in this sector. As concrete is a fluid, it can be pumped to the location it is needed at. This would cut down on the labor cost and ...
... also save a lot of time. It was in the year 1927, the renowned German engineers Max Giese and Fritz Hull explored the idea that concrete can be pumped through pipes. They successfully pumped concrete to a considerable height and over a relatively long distance. It was not long before the concrete pump got patented in 1932 by Jacob Cornelius Kweimm.

There are basically two types of concrete pumps. While the first one is attached to a truck, the other one is attached to a trailer. The trailer mounted pumps are suitable for large construction projects as they can pump in large volumes. These pumps make use of remote controlled articulating robotic arms; otherwise known as boon, in order to get the best precision possible. Experts would say that the High Pressure Grout Injection Pumps are a bit complex structures. They are dynamic systems which have a number of segments joined together or put together by kinematic joints which are moved by kinematic actuators. The number of these segments is of course, variable. These machines can pump the concrete to a great height and over a very long distance. This flexibility and the low natural frequencies that these pumps come with make them a preferred choice in the construction industry. Adjusting the parameters of this pump can help to improve its performance and safety. Other kinds of pumps that are also frequently used are High Pressure Grout Injection Pumps and High Pressure Dewatering and Slurry Pumps.

Just like the Truck Mounted Concrete Boom Pumps, the Concrete Trailer Pumps have also done their fair share in revolutionizing the construction industry. Today’s buildings are mostly multi-storeyed and it is the grout pumps that help to provide these buildings with a solid foundation. It is through jet grouting process that the blinders or fluids are injected at a high pressure to break the soil and form a mixture that forms the solid base of the buildings.
