A Limo Service Committed To It's Clients!

This week's Hurricane Sandy will go down as one of the most destructive natural disasters in the United States. Many Northeastern residents experienced the most powerful storm in their lifetime. Millions of people were left without power. All businesses were shut down, including the NYSE closing down for two days. And transportation was hit extremely hard. Many companies closed down and thousands of travelers were stranded at airports. However one private limo service operated throughout the Northeast before and after the Hurricane. Shofur, is a nationwide company making headlines due to it's often times bold moves and strategic moves. However, this time the bold move was getting their passengers safely across the Hurricane.

Shofur first began as an Atlanta Limo company a few years ago. I first used them while covering a strike over Delta airlines. On October 28 I went to Boston to cover a trade over Ray Allen with his previous team of the Boston Celtics. Well October 29th came around and I wasn't able to travel back to New York City. ... day. I called every < Boston Limo service I knew of and had no clue where to turn to. A twitter update caught my attention. It simply said that "service to NYC is available." Fortunately I was able to get into the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

After arriving and getting my reports together I decided to call the owner. To my surprise service was being provided until 4pm on October 29th from major airports to the home of many clients. And the next day when thousands of utility workers reported around the country, Shofur helped transport most executives safely and quickly into New York city. Asking the owner why they didn't suspend service, the owner replied:

"Our goal is to provide the most reliable transportation around the United States. We are the only nationwide servicing this many locations 24 hours a day. Many clients depended on us. We were carefully monitoring the weather and didn't provide services in very dangerous conditions. At 4pm I made an executive decision to stop service until the storm passed. At that point we were still getting phone calls but I though I would be putting clients and drivers in a dangerous situation if I continued to send cars out. The next day at 7 am we continued service to an from New York city. We send out a mass text message to our clients. Out clients pay a premium to have reliable transportation at all times."

Fortunately no accidents were reported. We are happy to say that all clients got to their destinations safely and all drivers are safe and sound. And I'd like to personally thank you for the reliability.
