The Power Of Clothing For Brand Promotion
Have you ever seen people wearing clothes with the faces of their favorite musician/politician or artist? Many celebrities often promote themselves by selling clothes with their quotes and pictures on them. What does this do? It gets them some form of advertisement because via their clothing, they get to communicate with their fans and when others see these people wear clothes of this sort, their interest gets triggered, too.
This is not necessarily due to their interest in the celebrity/politician alone but they may just like the clothes and the style and so, they too purchase such clothes. How does this happen? The celebrity communicates with his/her fans and they, unknowingly communicate with other people by wearing these clothes. Awareness about a celebrity or his purpose is created and this helps attract even more attention to him/her. The celebrity’s purpose or name becomes a kind of a brand on its own! This is known as promotional apparel.

... to their advantage, as it is easy to attract the attention of the masses to the brand via something as cheap and effective as clothes. Why? This is because everyone wears clothes and so, everyone notices what the person in front of them is wearing which in turn attracts more attention.
The best part about promotional apparel is that any company can go for it and expect a positive result because someone or the other is bound to get interested in the brand by seeing its logo on clothes worn by another person or group. This is what helps create a brand’s image and this also helps a company establish itself.
Promotional apparel is the most powerful form of advertisement. Sure, billboards, magazines and commercials are effective too but if people wearing such clothes go to another country or city where a company has not used billboards and magazines to attract attention, they attract a wider range of people. Employees of a particular company may go to other places/countries and attract such people too. This form of endorsement is very effective.
Funds are not an issue because even a simple logo printed on a shirt could work so long as it helps communicate with others. Usually companies with more financial resources can afford to spend on a wider range of clothing products such as gloves, polo necks, shoes, etc. The main thing to do is to keep your aims and objectives in mind when going for promotional clothing because this is what will help you create certain framework as to what you want to tell your customers and how.
Be clear in what you are trying to portray and make your designs and logos accordingly. This way even people who do not know of your company/brand will be attracted to the clothes and they would be able to understand what it is that you stand for and/or believe in.
