Feminine Incontinence - Conclude The Embarrassment
Urinary incontinence is a condition that is more common among women as compared to men and according to a survey the number of women sufferers from this condition is double the number of men sufferers. Even though, this condition is somewhat embarrassing, women and men facing the condition should not consider it as something unnatural and cannot be treated as there are treatment options available and it can be completely cured when attended by the medical care provider at an early stage.
Medical professionals say that female incontinence is widely seen because of childbirth and pregnancy factors. Some women face this condition during the last three months of their pregnancy and it is not uncommon. This is due to the growth of the fetus and the stretching of pelvic muscles to accommodate the baby. But, most of these women will find that the problem has gone away after childbirth. However, some of them will have long-term effects as well. This is because, the pelvic muscles that stretched for accommodating the fetus does not return back to their original condition and they remain weak thereby causing uncontrollable urination.

... addition to childbirth, there are also some other reasons for incontinence in women like obesity, bladder stones, urinary tract infections, consumption of higher amount of caffeine and alcohol, etc… Women should always remember that the condition is not only a problem by itself, but it might be a symptom for some other larger medical issue. Therefore, it is safe to visit the medical care provider at the early stages of the condition.
When it comes to incontinence in women, there are three common types and they are urge incontinence, stress incontinence and overactive bladder. Under the first type, the patient will feel a sudden urge to urinate due to the feeling of fullness of bladder. But, they will not be in a position to reach the restroom on time. Under the second type, there will an involuntary leakage of urine like during coughing, laughing or when lifting some heavy weight objects .Under the third type, patient will be in need of frequent urination as compared to a normal person and generally the third condition occurs in women during their menopause period since their body will begin to slow down during this age.
As mentioned earlier, when female incontinence condition is attended by medical care provider at an early stage, it can be cured with the help of exercises and if there is some delay, they will be prescribing medicines. On the other hand, if it cannot be cured under these two methods, surgical procedures will be opted.
