Are you tired of gifting family and friends with the same or similar items year after year? Sometimes, it can be difficult to find something unique to give someone as a gift, especially if it’s for a person who has it all. In the end you settle for gifting something ‘safe’ such as perfumes, accessories or worse still, a gift voucher that you know is not appropriate but you’re just not sure what else to do. If you are faced with a situation like this, you should consider blooming tea gifts, especially if you know that the recipient is a tea connoisseur.

If you are wondering what are tea gifts, these are tea sets that comprise of everything you need to prepare a cup or several cups of flowering tea. You can find these in a variety of combinations and price ranges so you are sure to be able to find one that best suits the occasion as well as the budget.

You can find tea gifts that include just a teapot with 2 mugs and a tea ball, which is somewhat like a starter gift and would not be very expensive. At the higher end you can find tea gifts that include everything you can think of and more, from the teapot ...
... and four to six mugs to a sampler container with an assorted collection of tea balls in different flavours. For a single person, you can also find flowering sets for one. You know that a gift like that would never go unappreciated.

So what’s so great about these flowering or blooming tea sets? Well, for one thing, this tea is completely different from any regular tea as we know it. When you gift it to someone, you are actually gifting them an unexpected opportunity to impress their guests when entertaining and also to indulge themselves when they are having a cuppa by themselves.

These little tea balls are made up of a flower that is tightly wrapped in tea leaves. As the ball is steeped in hot water, the petals and leaves slowly start to unfold to reveal the whole flower in all its beauty. The process is almost like a bud opening out into a flower, which is why it is appropriately called ‘blooming’ tea or ‘flowering’ tea. Each blooming flower tea ball can brew about 10 to 15 cups of tea. For stronger tea, you can add more than one tea ball into the pot. The flavour of the brew will depend upon the type of flower in the ball.

The beauty of gifting these tea sets is that there is an endless variety that you can choose from, right from the choice of material of the tea pot to the array of flavours of the tea balls. Glass tea pots offer the best experience of all as it allows you to actually see the petals unfolding. With opaque tea pots, while you may get the same flavour, you miss out on the visual experience.
