Chippenham is the most populated town situated in Wiltshire, it is situated between The Cotswolds to the North and West, Marlborough Downs to the East, and Salisbury Plain to the South. It took 100 years for the cathedral to be built back in 1220. In the United Kingdom the Salisbury Cathedral has the tallest church spire, as well as also having the world's oldest clock dating back to AD 1386.
Swindon is another of the large towns that is situated in Wiltshire, it is midway between Bristol and Reading. There are a lot of events that are held yearly; the annual gay pride parade known as Swindon and Wiltshire Pride sees approximately 8,000 people attend. The event has seen acts such as Basshunter perform at the celebrations. Swindon also has a successful football team, led by popular manager Paolo Di Canio.
