A Career In Clinical Research
Clinical research is a process whereby a clinical trial is conducted on human beings to see the comparative effectivenss of drugs. Before releasing a product into the market, these trials are performed at various stages and after the product launched, studies are conducted to examine various side effects of such drugs when it is taken at larger scale. It is a scientific study and a professional engage in such works is called Clinical Research Associate (CRA). He examines the entire process and progress of such trial and works under a sponsor or a research organisation. He/she takes care of all the administrative responsibilities related to a clinical trial and can work as research nurse, trial coordinator, study coordinator, research coordinator, or clinical coordinator. These are entry level positions. a clinical researcher is focused on studying issues and concerns associated to a person’s mental wellness. it is also a laboratory based profession.
