If you are thinking about buying a used car but are wary about the quality of vehicle you’ll receive, used Motability cars may be just the thing for you. Unlike many other used cars, used Motability cars tend to have a very low mileage and are often in much better condition than a similar, non-Motability vehicle.

What is Motability?

Motability is a UK charity which was set up by the Government way back in 1977. Its aim was to help disabled individuals and their families with all of their mobility needs. The scheme allows individuals who struggle with their mobility to obtain a much needed vehicle, which is paid for with their mobility allowances.

The company is also one of the biggest suppliers of used vehicles to the motor trade and offers some of the highest quality used vehicles you are ever likely to come across.

More than 145,000 used Motability cars are sold in the UK each year and they represent great value for money.

Used Motability Cars

Used Motability cars which become available for sale tend to be in very good condition and have usually only had one previous owner who has ...
... looked after the vehicle extremely well. The cars which are made available for sale have, frequently, not been modified in any way, so they are suitable for those who have no disabilities to drive.

They are typically cars which have simply come to the end of their contracts, which the owners have decided to trade in for whatever reason. The average mileage of a used Motability car is only 22,000 miles, but cars with much lower mileage frequently become available, so you really can pick up a bargain by seeking out used Motability cars over other used cars.
