Chandigarh, one of the union territories, is located in North- West India and enjoys the status of a capital of two states Haryana and Punjab. Chandigarh is very close to the state of Himachal Pradesh and towns of Patiala, Mohali and Ambala.

Chandigarh is undisputedly considered the best planned city in India. The city is known for its robust and well planned architecture. Constant efforts are taken by the Government and people of the city to continue to stay the “cleanest city” of India. The tourists get to take part and witness the rose festival that takes place every year. Also, the city given its rich forested area is a home to many birds. Many migratory birds from Siberia and Japan are seen in the area. Sukhnalake alone sees a wide range of migratory birds along with ducks and geese. Bird watching is then one activity that tourists can look forward to in Chandigarh.
Best time to visit the city is from mid-February to mid-March and then from mid-September to mid-October. The climate during this period is very pleasant allowing tourists a cool resting place. The summers are extremely hot and tourists prefer to stay in Shimla.
The city houses plenty of Hotels and Guests Houses which cater to the needs of the tourists. The hotels and guest houses provide a comfortable stay by offering all possible amenities to make the trip of the tourists truly delightful. The city is well connectedwith the different states across India and can be easily reached by road, rail and air transport.
