Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu is also popularly referred to as the Gateway to the South, due to its unique geographical positioning. It is not only the seat of the Tamil Nadu government, but also a cultural hub and metropolis as well. Chennai, earlier known as Madras, has played a significant role in shaping the history of India. Its contribution to the art and culture of the nation is also unparalleled.

New Delhi, on the other hand, is undoubtedly the most historic city of the country from time immemorial. Boasting of a rich and ancient cultural past, New Delhi has always had a prominent place in Indian history and politics. Much of the modern Indian history is centred on this magnificent city. As such, it is a treasure house of historic sites and monuments and has a lot to offer to the tourists. Being the seat of the Indian Government, New Delhi enjoys a privileged position, unlike many other metropolises.

An approximate distance of 2283 km separates both these historic cities from each other. As both of the cities enjoy great connectivity, travelling from Chennai to Delhi is very easy. Chennai ...
