Audio books are very convenient and also quite useful. It is relaxing and nice to curl up with a book, but in today's fast-paced world, reading has become a luxury, and most people cannot spare any time to read for pleasure. Audio books help such people to read the books they want to, but not strain their eyes any more after working all day. These audio books allow you to keep up with your leisure reading. But, the disadvantage is that they are quite expensive if you wish to buy them

You might be one of those people who are tired of trying to find an audio book of a particular title at their local book shop, but when they find it they see that it costs way too much. The good news is that there are retailers on the internet who offer discount audio books which cost a lot less than they would at book shops.

When you take books from the library, you have to remember to return it within the due date or else you'll have to pay a fine, or even the price of the book if you happen to lose it. The good thing about audio books is that once you have them, you can listen to them as many times as you want, ...
... without having to return them.

If you think that you wouldn't like to listen to an audio book, there are still chances that you might like it. There are long periods when you are driving with nothing to do but listen to the radio. You could listen to an audio book instead of to music, and this way, you could keep up on your reading and enjoy new books you haven't read before. Most audio books are unabridged, which means that the narrator will read out every word like it is in the original text.

Audio books are very useful for people who do not have a very high level of reading. People want to learn how to read in literacy programs and other related programs. When these people are in the early stages of these programs, they get bored of books which are meant for such beginner readers. Audio books can help these people to ‘read' books which are at a higher level and which they haven't learnt to read yet. They can listen to the audio book and still know what the book is about, without missing out on it.
